About Workomatic

Built for the moment between an idea and a confident build decision.

Workomatic started as an internal tool at Dakic OnLine LLC—a way to turn product conversations, research, and half-formed ideas into clear direction a team can build from.

Where it came from

Dakic OnLine LLC has organized client work with the Now / Next / Later method for years—three simple horizons for deciding what is in motion, what is queued up, and what can wait. It is the consulting methodology the company was built on, and it works when the work that lands in each lane is already well-formed.

The recurring failure was not the organizing. It was that the thinking never happened before something landed in a lane. Ideas arrived in Now half-formed, or were pushed to Later and forgotten without anyone remembering why. Workomatic is the answer to that gap.

Why it exists

Most product work breaks in the gap between thinking and building. Decisions get lost in chat threads, specs arrive vague, and builders are left to guess at intent. Workomatic gives the thinking phase a durable home, so the context behind the work is clear when it is time to act.

Capture without interruption. When an idea is ready, turn it into a decision, a task, or a product spec—with the reasoning that led there still attached—then place it in the horizon where it belongs.

How it works

Workomatic runs on two axes that work together. One is how you think; the other is how you organize.

Explore and decide — how you think. The Duet Method. Explore is a free-running feed for thoughts, tensions, and half-formed directions—no labels, no required fields, no interruption. Decide is where an idea earns its shape: a task to take, a spec to draft, or a decision to make. This is the discipline that produces well-formed work in the first place.

Now, Next, Later — how you organize. The Dakic OnLine methodology, carried into the product. Once an idea has been decided into shape, it lands in one of three horizons:

Now. The work in motion—decisions being made, specs being drafted, and tasks the team is actively taking forward.

Next. The work queued up and ready when capacity opens—prioritized and clear enough to start without rediscovery.

Later. The work parked on purpose—not ready yet, or not a priority right now, but kept close with its reasoning so nothing gets lost.

The two axes feed each other: Explore and Decide produces the clean input; Now / Next / Later gives it a home in time. Neither framework alone is enough.
